MARCEL·LÍ ANTÚNEZ ROCA

  • Monutafi

Monutafi  Terrassa is the first in the series of major public ephemeral monuments, based on popular construction, which Marcel·lí Antúnez Roca has prepared. To carry it out, Antúnez invited associations, centers to participate in the idea and the construction. This temporary monument is the voice and hands of the people.

The materials used to erect the figure come from recycling: it is an attempt to give new life to materials that often end up as waste and scrap.

Monutafi had a new version in September 2016 at the Renew Festival in Pittsburgh, USA with the construction of the CAPA School students. We built the Monutafi Pittsbug.

This project uses some of the previous volumes that were created for the film El Peix Sebastiano in 2011 and most of the project named Fargabudell, created together with the group Pim Pam Pum Foc in Olot, in autumn 2014.
